is an artist who finds joy in all forms of expression, working in paint, mixed media, and vintage photography. Her art focuses mainly on her love of animals. Her pet portraits are photo realistic, yet whimsical and full of life. She wishes to capture what we often call the "human qualities" inherent in all living creatures, the spirit of those whose language we have yet to understand.
In her recent work, Brandi combines a more layered abstract approach with her realism to express the spirits of her subjects, as well as her passion for color, symbolism, and the sheer joy of fingers in paint.
Brandi is inspired by Renaissance art, vintage tattoos, Native American spirituality, religious iconography, childhood nostalgia, lo-fi photography, and of course, the complex personalities of the animals that she shares her life with.
